Blog setup for your contractor website.
A properly configured blog turns your contractor website from a static brochure into a lead-generating asset. This add-on sets up the blog module, styles it to match your site, and leaves you with a ready-to-publish platform. You write and post on your own.
Fully configured, styled, and ready for your first post
A blog is a contractor's cheapest marketing tool.
Every post you publish is a permanent page on your site that keeps attracting customers for years. Three posts about common service questions can bring in more leads than a month of paid ads.
Better search rankings
Each post targets a unique keyword your customers search. More posts means more chances to rank on Google when people search for contractor services.
Build trust with customers
Publishing expert advice shows customers you know your trade. A homeowner picking between two contractors usually picks the one whose blog explained their problem.
Answer questions at scale
Write the answer to a question one time, and it serves every customer who asks it. Cuts down on the same call and email conversations you're already having.
Free traffic that compounds
A post from two years ago still brings in leads today. Unlike ads that stop when you stop paying, blog posts keep working as long as the content stays relevant.
Showcase your work
Turn each major job into a project recap post with before and after photos. Better than a gallery page because each one can rank for specific search terms.
Seasonal relevance
Post before winter about freeze prevention. Before summer about AC maintenance. Homeowners searching at that moment find you first.
A complete blog setup.
Everything you need to publish from day one. Not just a blog page enabled in WordPress, a properly structured, styled, and SEO-ready content platform.
Blog index page
Clean grid layout showing all your posts with featured images, categories, titles, and excerpts. Styled to match your chosen template.
Single post template
Article layout with proper typography, featured image support, author info, published date, tags, and related posts at the bottom.
Categories and tags
Pre-configured with your trade's common topics (maintenance, repair, installation, safety, seasonal, etc.) so your first posts have a home.
SEO-ready structure
Rank Math configured with your default schema, breadcrumbs set up, sitemap updated. Every post you publish is automatically SEO-optimized.
First post template
A starter post draft in your admin so you can see exactly how the layout works. Edit it or delete it when you're ready to publish your own.
Menu integration
Blog link added to your main navigation. Visitors can reach your posts easily from any page on the site.

This add-on does NOT include:
Ongoing blog writing, SEO content strategy, keyword research for future posts, or managed content publishing. You'll need to write the posts yourself or hire a writer. This add-on gets the blog built and ready so you can publish the moment you have content to share.
If you need ongoing content creation, SEO strategy, and monthly publishing schedules, that's a service-level commitment that lives with Primate Web FX, my full-service agency for contractors who treat content marketing as a growth channel.
What you need to know.
Do I need any technical knowledge to publish posts?
No. WordPress is designed for non-technical users. If you can write an email and upload a photo, you can publish a blog post. I include a short handoff video showing exactly how to write, format, and publish.
How often should I post?
Consistent is more important than frequent. One solid post per month for a year beats five posts in one month and nothing for ten. Most successful contractor blogs publish 1-2 posts per month.
Can the blog be added later, after my site launches?
Yes, but it's $249 added post-launch (vs $149 during initial build) because it comes outside the main build window. Cheaper to add it now if you think you'll want it.
Can I hire someone else to write the posts?
Absolutely. You own the site and can give posting access to any writer you hire. Many contractors work with freelance writers or use AI-assisted writing tools to draft posts they edit.
Will the blog slow down my website?
No. Blogs are native to WordPress so they don't add overhead. Posts load as fast as any other page, and search engines specifically reward blogs as "active" sites.
What if I want Claude or another AI to write the posts?
That's fine. The blog platform is yours and you can publish AI-assisted content, AI-edited drafts, or fully AI-written posts. Google now rewards helpful content regardless of how it was drafted. Just make sure it's accurate to your trade.
